Renovation of a detention facility in Lexington, Kentucky. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 66,000-square-foot detention facility.

The project involves the replacement of the existing ballasted EPDM roofing system, approximately 66,000 square feet, with a new adhered TPO roofing system at FMC Lexington. Skylights are to be removed and the roof deck filled in. A non-penetrating ballasted fall protection railing system must be installed in designated areas. Masonry re-pointing and concrete repairs are required at deteriorated walls and the upper balcony edge. The existing rooftop HVAC systems and controls shall be replaced with new systems, including installation of new ductwork. The project also includes asbestos abatement and mold remediation. The solicitation is set aside for competitive 8(a) Business Development Program participants.
