Site work and paving for a road / highway in Williston, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
The project consists of the following approximate principal quantities: 99,000 gallons of Fog Seal, 650,000 gallons of CRS2P Emulsified Asphalt, 1,625,000 square yards of Cover Coat material CL 41, 5,000 tons of Cover Coat Material CL 41 Stockpile, 1,812,000 linear feet of Pavement Mark Painted 6-inch Line, Traffic Control, and all miscellaneous work necessary to complete the project. All bids are to be submitted on the basis of cash payment for the work and materials necessary to complete the project. Each bid must be accompanied by a separate envelope containing the contractor's license and bid security in a sum equal to five percent of the full amount of the bid, in the form of a bidder's bond. The bid bond must be executed by the bidder as principal and by a surety, conditioned that if the principal's bid is accepted and the contract awarded, the principal, within ten days after notice of award, shall execute a contract in accordance with the terms of the bid and the bid bond and any condition of the governing body. If a successful bidder does not execute a contract within the ten days allowed, the bidder's bond must be forfeited to the Owner and the project awarded to the next lowest responsible bidder. Bidders must be licensed for the full amount of the bid as required by section 43-07-12 of the North Dakota Century Code. No bid may be read or considered if it does not fully comply with the requirements of Section 48-01.2-05 of the North Dakota Century Code. Any deficient bid received will be resealed and returned to the bidder immediately. The Owner reserves the right to hold all bids for 30 days, to reject any or all bids, to waive any informality or irregularity in any bid, to accept the bid deemed in the best interest of the Owner, and to rebid the project until a satisfactory bid is received. There shall be endorsed upon the outside of the envelope containing the bid: '2026 County Wide Chip Seal Application,' the date of the proposal, the name of the person, firm, corporation, or joint venture submitting the bid, and acknowledgement of the addenda, if any. All work shall be substantially complete by September 1st, 2026. All work shall be completed and ready for final payment in accordance with the General Conditions by September 15th, 2026. Should the contractor fail to complete its obligations under the contract within the required time or granted extensions, $2,300 per day will be deducted from any amount due for each calendar day that completion is delayed, as liquidated damages. All bids must be submitted, and all work shall be done, in full and strict compliance with the plans and contract documents for this project, any special conditions, and the 2025 NDDOT Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction.
