Sealed bids are being solicited for the construction of the Harrisburg Heritage Elementary School & Harrisburg South Middle School Re-Roof project in Harrisburg, South Dakota. A single combined bid will be received as per the Construction Documents. All bidders must adhere to the AIA Document A701 "Instruction to Bidders," AIA Document A201 "General Conditions of the Contract for Construction," and the Supplementary Conditions. Plans and Specifications are available to Prime Bidders and major subcontractors through CADD Engineering Supply or can be examined at the office of the architect or with the Owner at the specified locations. Addenda will be uploaded to the Architecture Incorporated website under the 'Projects Out for Bid' section. Bidders are encouraged to check this site regularly for updates. Each bidder must submit bid security with their bid, consisting of either a Bid Bond for ten percent (10%) of the base bid or a certified/cashier's check or draft for five percent (5%) of the base bid, drawn on a State or National Bank. The Bid Bond must be from a surety authorized to conduct business in South Dakota and be payable to the Owner, guaranteeing contract execution by the successful bidder. The Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids or parts thereof, to waive irregularities, and to award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder as determined by the Owner. No bid may be withdrawn for 30 days after opening without a written request explaining the cause and the Owner's written consent after review of said cause. All Contractors are encouraged to attend the pre-bid meeting, but it is not mandatory.
