** As of April 22nd, 2026, this project has been awarded to DataCom for $198,905.** Sealed proposals are sought for Project No. 260110 at the Mahoning County Career & Technical Center for a campus-wide public address system. Bidders may access bid documents via Roller Reprographic Services, either online or by purchasing printed sets. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid bond or certified check for 10% of the proposal amount. The project will be awarded as a Single Prime Contract for the PA System with a probable cost of construction of $275,000. Bids may not be withdrawn for sixty days after the bid deadline. The Work shall include the providing and installing of a Campus-wide IP-based Public Address/Paging System. Announcements & pages will be initiated at dedicated VoIP phone handset locations. Instructional spaces shall have a combination announcement/ intercom speaker(s) and a wall-mounted Call Button. Hallways, cafeteria and other indicated areas shall have speaker distribution so that announcements/pages can be heard throughout the facility, including outdoor horns for exterior coverage. The system will be hosted on the MCCTC's network, with dedicated patch panels & PoE switches (provided and installed by the MCCTC) in various Data/Comm Closets throughout the facility (see plan for locations). This Contractor shall determine the best cable route to each Data/Comm Closet for each system device, provide and install all devices and cabling (with test/passed termination report and schematic diagram of entire PA system), along with configuration and programming of the system, and training for MCCTC personnel. MCCTC will provide a network administrator to set up and configure the MCCTC network. MCCTC will also provide Data/Comm interconnectivity between the individual buildings. The work shall also include any/all hardware and miscellaneous data/electrical devices required for full system function & operation, and a lifetime software license.
