Renovation of the existing CTE shop area (approximately 4,800 square feet), including updating the restroom, adding HVAC, exhaust, and power for new shop equipment. Specific trades included are selective demolition, concrete floor replacement, masonry patch and repair, miscellaneous structural steel and guardrails, rough carpentry, insulation, joint sealants, hollow metal doors/frames/hardware, overhead sectional doors, gypsum drywall ceilings on metal stud framing, paint, ACT, flooring, FRP, miscellaneous specialties, plumbing, HVAC, and electrical. ALL trade contractor bids (those containing installation labor) must be submitted in a sealed envelope utilizing appropriate bid forms clearly marked "Bid for Bertrand Community School" and must include bid security in the amount of 5% in the form of an official bid bond or cashier's check. If awarded the project, all contractors will be required to furnish performance and payment bonds or supply bonds. Bids are to be submitted to BD Construction in Kearney by the designated deadline. All bids must be strictly in accordance with the Contract Documents and all related Bid Documents, which are available from BD Construction. The Owner and Construction Manager reserve the right to accept or reject offers and waive any irregularities. Any contract award will be made to the lowest responsible bidder, considering the best interests of the Owner, quality performance, and ability to perform the work. By submitting a bid, the bidder agrees to the terms of the BD Construction Standard Trade Contractor Agreement.
