Site work for a mixed-use development in South Bay, Florida. Completed plans call for site work for an industrial development and retail development.
Land Clearing and Site Preparation - Park of Commerce 88 Acres :- The project consists of furnishing all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision necessary for full clearing, grubbing, debris removal, grading, compaction, erosion control, and temporary stabilization of approximately 88 acres designated for commercial and industrial development. Mobilization o Mobilize personnel, equipment, and materials. o Conduct pre-construction conference with City Manager or designee. o Install construction signage and secure site access. o Provide temporary construction fencing as required. Erosion and Sediment Control o Install silt fencing, turbidity barriers, stabilized construction entrances, and other Best Management Practices (BMPs). o Maintain BMPs throughout construction. o Remove BMPs upon project completion and stabilization. All measures must comply with FDEP NPDES stormwater construction permit requirements. Vegetation Clearing and Grubbing o Clear all vegetation, trees, brush, palmettos, and undergrowth within designated limits. o Remove stumps and root systems to a minimum depth of 12 inches below finished grade. o Remove all organic material unsuitable for structural fill. o Protect any utilities or infrastructure identified by the City. Burning may be permitted, separately authorized in writing. Debris Disposal o Load, transport, and dispose of all cleared materials at an approved facility. o Provide weight tickets and disposal documentation. o No on-site burial of debris permitted. Earthwork and Grading o Perform rough grading to eliminate irregularities and ponding areas. o Establish positive drainage across site. Question Deadline 03/31/2026 No interpretation of the meaning of the specifications, or other contract documents will be made orally to any Proposer. To be given consideration, such requests must be received in to the City Manager's Office in writing or emailed to camell@southbaycity.com at least five (5) business days prior to the date fixed for the opening of the RFP. PROJECT SCHEDULE Notice to Proceed (NTP): Issued by City Substantial Completion: 120 calendar days from NTP Final Completion: 135 calendar days from NTP Liquidated Damages: $1,500 per day beyond the approved completion date.
