Where practical, the Construction Manager shall respond to Contractor in writing with a decision within ten (10) days of receipt of the request. Each Bid shall be presented under sealed cover and shall be accompanied by a certified check made payable to the Authority or a Proposal Guarantee Bond in an amount not less than ten (10) percent of the Bid amount. The check or bond shall be given as a guarantee that the Bidder will execute the Contract in conformance with the form of Agreement contained in the Contract Documents and will furnish the bonds and insurance policies as specified therein within twenty (20) days after notification of the award of the Contract to the successful Bidder. The Authority reserves the right to postpone the date and time for receiving and/or opening of Bids at any time prior to the date and time established in the Notice to Contractors. Postponement notices may be emailed and will be subsequently mailed to plan holders of record in the form of an addendum.
