Site work for a civil project in Clearwater, British Columbia. Completed plans call for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and water / sewer project.
The District of Clearwater (Owner) invites Proposals, through this Negotiated Request for Proposal (NRFP), from Proponents for the Riprap Re-construction at Old North Thompson Highway Bridge project. The objective of this project is to replace the existing riprap with suitable material that will protect the bridge abutments in a major flow event. In their Proposal, Proponent are expected to demonstrate relevant experience and propose a safe, efficient, and environmentally compliant construction methodology that achieves the project objectives. In addition to responding to the base Proposal, the Proponent is invited to propose any innovations that the Proponent believes will reduce the cost, improve constructability, decrease overall project risk, or improve the performance of the riprap structure. In general, the base Proposal submitted by Proponents shall include the following work: Excavation and removal of existing riverbank materials, including construction of temporary access ramps to the areas of work Placement of the riprap and other specified fills Grading and site restoration Removal, reinstatement or restoration of impacted utilities and infrastructure Compliance with environmental permitting and monitoring requirements, including protection of the environment as per the Construction Environmental Management Plan (CEMP) Compliance with archaeological permitting and monitoring requirements Provide assistance to the Owner's Design Engineer for finalizing the detailed design as per the Proponent's construction methodology and accepted innovations or value-added items Question Deadline 03/31/2026 at 5:00 PM PT
