The intention is to obtain Professional Architectural Consultant Services for the design and future construction of the First Coast Technical College Workforce Training Center in southwest St. Johns County. Services include, but are not limited to, remodeling, renovations, additions, expansions, new construction, technology updates and retrofits, energy updates and retrofits, Department of Education approved grants, energy rebate processing, roofing analysis and design (including re-roofing), and related sitework. These services must be provided in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, the Florida Department of Education, and the St. Johns County School District. The Board may reuse the plans developed for this project in accordance with F.S. 287-055. Instructions to bidders: Minimum qualifications require ten years of professional expertise in the architectural and/or roofing design field, knowledge of laws and regulations governing educational facilities, experience in designing for a growing educational system, experience with educational leaders to develop innovative concepts consistent with a strategic plan, completion of similar projects in the St. Johns County area, and experience in design, construction, or repair and renovation of educational facilities in accordance with the Florida Energy Conservation and Sustainable Buildings Act. Responses (1 manually signed original, 1 photocopy, and a thumb drive of the complete RFQ in one pdf document) must be sealed in one envelope clearly marked with project information and delivered to the St. Johns County School District. The School Board reserves the right to reject any or all responses, waive informalities and minor irregularities, and request resubmission or additional information as deemed in the best interest of the School District. As of April 30, 2026, qualifications are under evaluation, but a selection has not yet been made. A timeline for construction has not yet been established.
