Site work and paving for a road / highway in Newport, Kentucky. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project is for the Vine Street Milling and Resurfacing Project, requiring all material, labor, equipment, and installation necessary to complete all elements. Contractors must be pre-qualified with the Kentucky Transportation Cabinet and will be responsible for all construction safety practices and complete maintenance of traffic plans and implementation. Bidders must purchase bid documents from Viox & Viox, Inc. to qualify as a registered bidder. No substitution of contractors will be allowed without changing registration. All bidders must submit bids on the required bid forms, with two completed copies required. Each bid must be accompanied by a cashier's check or satisfactory bid bond of not less than five percent of the aggregate bid amount. The successful bidder must execute a contract and provide construction contract security in an amount not less than one hundred percent of the bid. All bids will be evaluated in accordance with resident bidder preferences pursuant to KRS 45a.490-494. The city reserves the right to reject any and all bids.
