The project consists of the replacement of the bridge on T-210 (Millstone Road) over Millstone Run. The successful bidder shall provide all labor, material, tools, and equipment needed to complete the project, except for the structural plate arch and the steel express foundations, which will be provided by Bradford Township. The successful bidder will assemble the arch plates and steel express foundations, and provide concrete for the steel express foundations. The replacement structure is a single-radius, galvanized steel, arch with dimensions of 19'-0" span x 8'-3" rise and an arch length of 36'-0". The scope of work also includes constructing cast-in-place concrete wingwalls, a concrete collar on both ends of the arch, and guide rail. All materials must meet current PennDOT specifications and be Bulletin 15 approved. A bid bond or certified check in an amount equal to 10% of the bid price is required with the bid. The successful bidder must provide performance and payment bonds, each in an amount equal to 100% of the bid price. Federal Davis-Bacon Wage Rates will apply. The sealed envelope containing the bid shall be marked "Bid for T-210 Bridge Replacement". The township reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bidders are solely responsible for getting their bid to the township by the specified date and time. Any bids received after the deadline will not be accepted. Copies of the bidding documents will be sent via e-mail to prospective bidders. 1. Install erosion and sediment pollution control measures . 2. Install temporary cofferdams and pumping equipment to divert stream flow around the work areas . 3. Demolish existing structure . Existing structure consists of a 19'-0" span x 8 '-3" rise x 33 ' long single -radius , galvanized steel arch . Structure also contains concrete abutments , concrete wingwalls , and gabion basket wingwalls . 4. Assemble 19'-0" span x 8'-3" rise x 36 ' -0" long galvanized steel structural plate singleradius arch . 5. Excavate to the lines and grades needed for installation of the arch and wingwall footings . Layback slopes per OSHA requirements . 6. Place Class C concrete or Flowable Fill beneath the proposed footings , as needed , to fill any over -excavated areas of the rock bearing surface to the required bottom of footing elevation . 7. Install the steel express foundations on the prepared base and fill with concrete . Install the single -radius arch on the steel express foundations . 8. Construct the wingwall footings on the prepared base . Construct the stem walls on the wing wall footings , and the concrete collars at each end of the arch . 9. Install R -6 rock riprap . 10. Place structure backfill behind the wingwalls and on top of the arch . Place fill material in areas outside of the structure backfill , to bring the ground surface outside of the road to finished grade , and to bring the ground surface under the road to subgrade level . 11. Install approach guide rail and end treatments . Construct concrete slabs above arch for attaching guide rail posts . 12. Install approach guide rail and end treatments . 13. Site restoration and clean -up .
