Site work for a water / sewer project in Ithaca, New York. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project consists of furnishing and installing a vehicle access control and automated sliding gate system, including gate operators, safety devices, access control equipment, and associated site improvements. Work includes but is not limited to the installation of supporting infrastructure, access control components, and related electrical work necessary to provide controlled vehicle entry and exit at the facility. Bidders are encouraged to contact the Project Manager for scheduling site visits. Question Deadline 03/20/2026 Questions may be directed to: bzarzynski@cityofithaca.org This project proposes the demolition of the existing gate system and the installation of a fully automated gate and vehicle access control system to regulate vehicle entry and exit at the Ithaca Area Wastewater Treatment Facility. The scope includes new gate assemblies, integrated safety systems, access readers, and necessary site improvements to ensure secure, reliable, and efficient operation. The system will also provide automated tracking of vehicles accessing the septage receiving building, generating accurate records to support reporting, billing, and operational management. All manufacturer names, product types, and model numbers referenced herein are provided as a basis of design only. Approved equal products meeting or exceeding the specified performance, safety and compatibility will be considered.
