Site work and paving for a road / highway in Norway, Maine. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The project involves common excavation, rock excavation, storm drain installations, gravel subbase course and base course installation, hot mix asphalt paving, and slipform concrete curbing on approximately 2,188 linear feet on Pikes Hill Road in Norway. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope or package with the type of bid clearly indicated. All bidders must furnish a completed Bid Form, an Experience Record, a list of all subcontractors to be utilized, and a bid security in the amount of 5% of the total bid in the form of a Bid Bond or certified check made out to the Town of Norway. The successful bidder must provide a Certificate of Insurance, a 100% Construction Performance Bond, and a 100% Construction Labor and Material Payment Bond. The Town of Norway reserves the right to adjust the quantities contained in the Bid Form as needed to stay within the project budget, reject any and all bids, waive any technical or legal deficiencies, and accept any bid deemed to be in the best interest of the Town of Norway, not necessarily the lowest bid.
