Site work for an educational facility in Monroe, Michigan. Completed plans call for site work for a educational facility.
Separate sealed proposals are invited for Prime Contractors for Domestic Water Replacement and related work at Cantrick Elementary School. Proposals are for all projects and complete, including all trades (Sub-Contractors and Suppliers), as the successful Contractor will be considered a Prime Contractor entering into a direct contract with the Owner. A mandatory pre-bid meeting is required for Prime Contractors to gain knowledge about the project and submit proof of qualifications for pre-approval. The Project Manager will clarify the bidding procedures, scope of work, identify any items of concern, and answer bidder questions for bid preparation. Only Contractors who attend the entire pre-bid meeting, have signed the official attendance list, have checked out official plans and specifications from the Architect, and meet minimum Contractor qualifications will be considered for approval. The proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or bid bond by an approved surety company in the amount of five percent (5%) of the proposal submitted, payable to the Owner. The successful Contractor must furnish performance, labor, and material bonds for the full proposal amount if payments are issued prior to completion, or if the contract is $50,000.00 or more. All bidders must provide a familial disclosure statement and a sworn and notarized statement in compliance with the Iran Economic Sanctions Act, to be attached with the bid. The Owner reserves the right to waive irregularities, reject any or all bids, or accept the bid that will serve the best interests of the Owner. WORK INCLUDES BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO THE REMOVAL OF EXISTING CAST IRON DOMESTIC COLD WATER LINES AND INSTALLING NEW COPPER WATER LINES. MOST OF THE WORK DESCRIBED IS LOCATED WITHIN THE EXISTING TUNNELS OF THE BUILDING. THERE IS NO ARCHITECTURAL SCOPE PRESENT ON THE DOCUMENTS. Question Deadline 04/08/2026 If any person contemplating submitting a bid is in doubt as to the true meaning of any part of the plans or specifications, or other proposed contract documents, or requesting a change, they shall submit to the Architect a written request for interpretation which shall be delivered to the Architect at least (7) days before the opening of bids
