Site work for a water / sewer project in Matteson, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
Sealed proposals are requested for the Lead Water Service Line Replacements project. Proposals must be delivered in sealed envelopes, with the bidder's name, address, and project name on the outside. Proposals are to be submitted on forms provided by the Engineer. Bid documents can be requested electronically from Robinson Engineering, Ltd. A bid bond of at least five percent (5%) of the bid amount must accompany each proposal. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond for one hundred percent (100%) of the bid amount, with acceptable sureties, and comply with prevailing wage rates as determined by the U.S. Department of Labor and the Davis Bacon Act. The contractor must follow all relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Qualifications and experience will be considered in awarding the contract, and prequalification must be submitted to the Engineer. The contractor or subcontractor performing water service line replacement must be a licensed plumbing contractor in Illinois, with license verification required before award. Registration through Sam.gov with a Unique Entity ID is also required. The contract may be partially funded by a loan from the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency, and procurement is subject to various federal and state acts and regulations related to public works, labor, and disadvantaged business enterprises. The bidder must also comply with the President's Executive Order No. 11246, as amended.
