Site work and paving for a road / highway in Matteson, Illinois. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
The work consists of resurfacing and drainage improvements on Vollmer Road from Ridgeland Avenue and Red Barn Road. Bidders must submit sealed proposals on forms provided by the Engineer. A certified check or bid bond for not less than ten percent of the bid is required as a guarantee. The successful bidder must provide a performance bond equal to one hundred percent of the bid amount. Bidders must also pay prevailing wage rates as established by the U.S. Department of Labor and comply with all applicable regulations. The project has a 25% Disadvantaged Business Enterprise participation goal. Prequalification submission to the Engineer is required for all potential bidders. The Village reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, waive technicalities, postpone the bid opening, or solicit new proposals if it promotes the Village's best interests.
