The work consists of preparing the existing space for a new Computed Tomography system in Room A259 at the VA Saint Louis Health Care System, John Cochran Division, including the installation of a dedicated HVAC system to support CT procedures. The project requires the refreshment and renovation of Rooms A259 and A259A based on drawings and specifications provided by an Architectural-Engineering firm. Required work includes general construction, alterations, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing work, utility systems, fire protection systems, abatement work, demolition and removal of existing structures, and all associated appurtenances necessary for completion. All work shall comply with contract terms and conditions, specifications, drawings, VA Technical Information Library requirements, and all applicable local and national codes. The contractor shall furnish all supervision, tools, labor, materials, equipment, transportation, and testing required, and shall conduct site investigations to fully understand existing conditions and constraints. The contractor shall review all available as-built drawings, specifications, and verified field conditions and ensure that all installation details are coordinated with the Contracting Officer and on-site COR. The period of performance is 210 calendar days, which includes final inspection and clean-up.
