Renovation of a medical facility in Prescott, Arizona. Completed plans call for the renovation of a 63,590-square-foot, two-story above grade medical facility.

A. The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is committed to commissioning facilities and systems required for reliable, safe, and secure operation. The project renovated space will be approximately 2,200 SF, which has been deemed ESI level 4 and 5 with occasional level 3 use. The existing space being renovated consists of office space, exam room, and storage space. The space is being modified to accommodate new exam rooms and nurse station. The project will require the demolition of existing HVAC ductwork, HVAC piping and air devices serving the space. B. The mechanical work scope includes incorporating reuse of existing four (4) VAV boxes to the extent possible, relocation of one (1) existing VAV box that doesn't serve the project space, removal of two (2) existing VAV boxes, and four (4) new VAV boxes to provide appropriate zoning requirements. VAV boxes will be single duct units with hot water reheat. New VAV boxes to connect to existing medium pressure supply trunk. Existing supply and return ducts are to be modified to accommodate space floor plan changes and rebalanced; air balancer to balance and confirm the air pressurization relationship to adjacent areas. New air devices will be provided and incorporated into new ceilings. Existing ceiling radiant heating panels are to be reused. The exam rooms and first look room will be 100% exhausted up through the roof. Two (2) new exhaust fans serving the exam rooms will be in the low well roof area.
