Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Lockport, New York. Completed plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel.
**As of April 10th, 2026, this project has been awarded to Laubacker Enterprises for $382,433.** The project involves replacing the existing East High Street culvert over an unnamed creek. The new structure will be a concrete box culvert with headwalls and wingwalls, which will connect to a new concrete drainage structure. Associated work includes temporary dewatering and waterway diversion, slope protection and streambank stabilization, as well as restoration of pavement and turf surfaces. NYSDOT Standard Specifications, officially finalized and adopted on January 1, 2026, as posted on the NYSDOT's website, must be followed by the successful bidder. SDVOB participation goal is 6%, MBE goal is 7%, WBE goal is 11%, and DBE goal is 0%. Every request for such interpretation shall be in writing addressed to the Shannon Westoven (swestoven@wendelcompanies.com) and to be given consideration, must be received prior to 5:00 pm on Thursday, March 26, 2026.
