The project entails a collection of renovation upgrades to the existing school interior. Scope of work includes toilet room renovations to improve ADA accessibility. Prioritization of student and public toilet rooms are the project's focus as the project budget allows. Additional renovation scope includes the replacement of all classroom casework, replacement of all plumbing fixtures in toilet rooms and classrooms, replacement of selected doors identified by the school, and complete replacement of existing storefront windows/window treatments with new and improved exterior windows/window treatments. MEP upgrades are included in the project scope, and replacement of all unit ventilators in the classrooms and selected offices are included. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held for establishing the listing of subcontractors and to answer questions. Representatives of each party to any joint venture must attend this meeting. Attendance at this meeting is a prerequisite for bidding on this contract. Sealed bids shall be addressed as specified and the outer envelope should be clearly marked. Electronic versions of the contract documents may be obtained by contacting the office listed upon receipt of a non-refundable fee. Construction documents will be available for review at the office listed. Bidders will not be subject to discrimination and Minority, Disadvantaged, Women-Owned, and Veteran-Owned Business Enterprises will be afforded full opportunity to submit bids. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond in a sum equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein.
