The project involves replacement of doors, frames, hardware, and renovations of rest rooms, classrooms, and other areas throughout the building. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting for the purpose of establishing the listing of subcontractors and to answer questions. Sealed bids must be addressed appropriately and submitted by the specified deadline. Contract documents are available for a non-refundable fee. Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security equivalent to ten percent of the bid amount and all additive alternates. The successful bidder must post a performance bond and payment bond equal to 100 percent of the contract price upon execution of the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informalities therein. The Owner may extend the time and place for the opening of the bids with at least two calendar days' notice to those bidders receiving plans.
