Site work for a water / sewer project in Wilmington, Delaware. Completed plans call for site work for a water / sewer project.
The project includes the rehabilitation of twenty-seven manholes and twelve pump stations at Cherry Island and Pigeon Point Landfills. Manholes and pump stations vary in depth and condition and are part of the leachate collection system. The work includes, but is not limited to, mobilization and demobilization, surface preparation for lining of each manhole, which includes surface cleaning, removal of large debris, removal of existing liner, infiltration inspection, grouting, rinsing, bypass pumping, replacement of a manhole cone, odor control, and lining of each manhole and pump station using one of the approved epoxy coating materials and testing. Five copies of sealed bids, clearly marked, must be submitted. If the bid is in excess of $200,000, a certified check or bid bond in an amount not less than ten percent of the total bid price is required. Bidders must be licensed to do business in the State of Delaware and must meet all state, local, and federal laws and requirements. Subcontractors must also be licensed in the state prior to conducting any work. The successful bidder will be required to execute the Agreement, furnish a performance and payment bond each in the amount of one hundred percent of the total bid price if the bid is more than $200,000, execute a Hold Harmless Agreement, and furnish required insurance coverage. Bidders must attend a mandatory pre-bid meeting and/or schedule a site visit to obtain an understanding of site conditions before preparing a bid. DSWA reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and to waive irregularities or informalities in the bid or bid process. All bids must be prepared at the sole cost and expense of the bidder, with no reimbursement for preparation costs. In order to receive consideration, OWNER must receive questions by 2:00 p.m. at least eleven (11) calendar days prior to the Bid due date.
