THIS CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, DEPARTMENT OF AVIATION (DOA) PROJECT CONSISTS OF, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, RETROFIT AND EXPANSION OF THE EXISTING DOA MAINTENANCE SPACE ADJACENT TO JETBRIDGE GATE E2. SCOPE ALSO INCLUDES CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW BAGGAGE CONVEYOR BRIDGE CONNECTING THE EXISTING D/E BAGGAGE MAKE-UP BUILDING TO THIS NEW BAGGAGE MAKE-UP FACILITY IN TERMINAL E. THE PROJECT SCOPE IN ADD-ALTERNATE 1 INCLUDES, BUT IS NOT LIMITED TO, CONSTRUCTION OF A NEW BAGGAGE MAKE-BUILDING ADJACENT TO JETBRIDGE GATE D1, INCLUDING A NEW BAGGAGE CONVEYOR BRIDGE CONNECTING THE EXISTING D/E BAGGAGE MAKE-UP BUILDING TO THE NEW D BAGGAGE MAKEUP BUILDING The Work of Project is defined by the Contract Documents and includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Retrofit and expansion of the existing DOA maintenance space underneath the current USO to accommodate a new baggage handling make-up unit which would be connected via a bridge to the existing Terminal E. Additionally, it includes repair work at existing adjacent apron and Inner Vehicle Service Road indicated in the Contract Documents. 2. Construction of a new building to accommodate a new baggage handling make-up unit which would be connected via a bridge to the existing Terminal D. Additionally, it includes repair work at existing adjacent apron and Inner Vehicle Service Road indicated in the Contract Documents. a. See Section 012300 "Alternates" MECHANICAL CONTRACT A. Work of the Mechanical Contract includes, but is not limited to, the following: 1. Energy supply, including gas supply systems. 2. Mechanical systems and equipment. 3. Mechanical instrumentation and controls. 4. Mechanical testing, adjusting, and balancing. 5. Building automation system. 6. Mechanical connections to equipment furnished by the General Construction Contract. B. Temporary facilities and controls in the Mechanical Contract include, but are not limited to, the following: 1. Temporary heating, cooling, and ventilation of enclosures. The permanent building Mechanical systems will not be utilized to support heating and cooling of the project building during construction.
