The project consists of the removal of a timber bridge structure, installation of 2 double-cell 11'x8'x84' precast concrete box culverts, grading, and incidentals. All other improvements as shown and described in the Drawings and Specifications. Any deficient Bid will be resealed and returned to the Bidder immediately. The successful Bidder shall be required to furnish both a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract. All Work under this Contract shall be Substantially Completed by October 30, 2026. Final Completion of all Work shall be achieved by November 13, 2026. Each Bid shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a Bidder's Bond in a sum equal to five percent (5%) of the full amount of the Bid, executed by the Bidder as principal and by a surety company authorized to do business in this state, conditioned that if the principal's Bid is accepted and the contract awarded to the principal, the principal, within ten (10) days after Notice of Award, shall execute and effect a contract in accordance with the terms of his Bid and a Contractor's Bond as required by law and the regulations and determinations of the governing body. The Bid Bond of the three lowest Bidders will be retained until the contract has been awarded and executed, but not longer than sixty (60) days. The Bid security is a guarantee that the Bidder will enter into contract for the work described in the Proposal. The bidder must submit a Bid Bond as outlined above.
