The Board of Education of the Newton Community School District will receive sealed bids for new Furniture at Aurora Heights Elementary School. Lump-sum bids are to be submitted for Furniture Supply and Installation. Installation may begin after Owner receipt and approval of required Contracts, Bonds, and Insurance. The Project must be Substantially Complete by the specified completion date. Bids must be submitted in accordance with the specified instructions and include a security deposit in the form of a Bid Bond, cashier's or certified check, or certified share draft, in an amount not less than 5 percent of the Base Price/Sum. The successful Bidder must provide a Certificate of Insurance and Performance and Labor and Material Payment Bonds, each equal to 100% of the Contract Price. Bids must be irrevocable for 30 days after submission. This Project is tax exempt; do not include Iowa State Sales Tax in bid totals. Bidders must give preference to products and provisions produced or grown within the State of Iowa. All bidders must provide a statement on bidder resident status using the designated Iowa Department of Labor form, signed by an authorized representative. Failure to provide this may result in rejection of the bid. The Board reserves the right to accept or reject any or all Bids, or any part, and to waive informalities or irregularities as allowed by law.
