Separate sealed bids are requested for the construction of Southern NH Regional Water Improvements – Contract D5 – Old Derry Road BPS. Completion time is specified as 450 calendar days for substantial completion and 500 calendar days for final completion from the Notice to Proceed. Liquidated damages are set at $1500 for each calendar day of delay for either substantial or final completion. Each general bid must include a bid security of 5% of the total bid price. The successful bidder is required to provide 100% performance and payment bonds and execute the contract agreement within 10 days after being notified of bid acceptance. Contracts are expected to be funded in whole or in part by grants from the American Rescue Plan Act from the NH Department of Environmental Services and the NH Drinking Water and Groundwater Trust Fund. No bidder may withdraw a bid within 60 days after opening. Bidders must obtain full contract documents from Underwood Engineers, Inc. to qualify to submit a bid.
