Valley Southwoods Roofing Replacement - Roofing Tear off and replacement of the existing roofing system with new vapor barrier, insulation, coverboard, and membrane roofing assembly, including a thirty-year manufacturer’s warranty and five-year contractor installation warranty. Tear off and replacement of the existing roofing system with new underlayment, insulation, cover board, and standing seam metal roofing assembly, including a thirty-year manufacturer’s warranty, thirty-five-year finish warranty, and five-year contractor installation warranty. All sheet metal copings, flashings, edge, fascia, boots, and related accessories will be removed and replaced with new finished metal, with a thirty-five-year finish warranty for these components. The project covers approximately 38,089 square feet of roofing replacement at Valley Southwoods. Instructions to bidders include: Only single bid proposals for General Construction will be accepted. Bid Proposals must be accompanied by a bid security of five percent of the total proposal amount from bid bond, cashier’s check, or certified check. Bidders must be properly licensed and may have to provide evidence of experience with similar projects. All requested forms and attachments must be included with the Bid Form. All bidders must provide a statement regarding resident status on the Bidder Status Form. The right is reserved to reject any or all bids, hold bids for 45 days, and award based on the base bid and selected alternates. Bids must comply with Iowa Code and Board Policies, including Non-Discrimination, Equal Employment Opportunity, and Affirmative Action Policy. The West Des Moines Community School District is exempt from Iowa sales and use tax, which should not be included in bids.
