As of May 08, 2026, the project was awarded to Grayson Carter & Son Contracting, with an awarded amount of $841,669.03. Sealed proposals will be received for Parking Lot Re-Paving for Florence High School in accordance with Drawings and Specifications prepared by Lambert Ezell Durham Architecture, LLC. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held at Florence High School. A certified check or bid bond payable to Florence City Schools in an amount not less than five percent of the bid (not to exceed $10,000) must accompany each proposal. Performance and payment bonds and evidence of insurance are required at contract signing. Bidders must obtain documents through the Architect's website, with printed copies available for a fee, and may also be examined at designated plan rooms. Bids must be submitted on forms provided by the Architect. Bidders exceeding certain amounts must be licensed under Alabama law and show evidence of current license on the outside of the sealed envelope. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and waive technical errors in the Owner's interest.
