Addition to a fire / police facility in Washougal, Washington. Completed plans call for the addition of a fire / police facility.
The project consists of construction of a new living quarters building adjacent to the existing apparatus bays building at 10042 Washougal River Road, Washougal, Washington. Vendors are required to use recyclable products to the maximum extent economically feasible in the performance of the contract work. Bidders must specify the percentage of recycled paper or recycled product content in their products, including post-consumer and secondary waste content, and must also specify the fiber type for paper products. The contractor may certify a zero percent recycled paper or product. Bidders must submit fully completed bid forms as provided by the Architect, including a bid bond, cashier's check, or certified check in an amount not less than 10% of the total bid (excluding applicable State of Washington taxes). The successful bidder will be required to furnish a performance and labor & material bond in the amount of 100% of the contract value. Washington State prevailing wage rates apply. Bidders must indicate residency status, certify registration with the Washington Construction Contractors Board, and submit a signed non-collusion affidavit. Only those general contractors who attend and register at the mandatory pre-bid conference are allowed to submit a bid. Subcontractors are encouraged but not required to attend the pre-bid conference. Bids may be examined at specified locations and must be submitted in person; electronic or facsimile submissions will be rejected. Skamania County Fire District No. 4 reserves the right to waive informalities and to accept the bid that is in its best interests.
