The Contractor shall furnish groundskeeping services as defined in the Groundskeeping Specifications for a three-year contract period, beginning April 1, 2026, and ending November 30, 2028, covering three full lawncare seasons. The locations included are: - 2101 52nd St SW, Wyoming, MI 49519 (Pine Grove Learning Center) - 3600 Byron Center Ave SW, Wyoming, MI 49519 (Empower U South) - 1655 12 Mile Road NW, Sparta, MI 49345 (Empower U North) Work includes: - Mowing all turf areas to maintain a height between 3”–4.5”, with field areas mown bi-weekly, especially during July and August. All litter and trash must be removed prior to mowing. - Trimming and edging all areas inaccessible to mowers, keeping all edges of pavements, curbs, fence lines, and plant beds neat, with mechanical edging once per month. Contractors are liable for any damage to trees or landscaping. - Spring cleanup to remove debris from winter and previous fall season before mowing begins. This includes removing leaves, trimming dead perennial debris, and general landscape debris cleanup. - Fall cleanup to remove leaves, landscape debris, and cut back perennials at the end of the season. Leaves may be mulched into turf if appropriate. Scheduling or performance details: - Mowing, trimming, and blowing can occur on weekdays and during the school day, excluding bus drop-off and pick-up times. Weekend work is permitted if necessary. Mowing direction must be alternated to avoid ruts. Grass clippings to be removed or spread on hard surfaces, avoiding windows, doors, vents, or vehicles. General requirements: - Contractors must visit job sites before bidding and be familiar with conditions and scope. All staff must undergo background checks as required by state law. Bidders are responsible for any property damage that occurs during work. The contractor must provide a list of all staff assigned to each site, updating within 24 hours as employees are hired or terminated. Bids must include: - A completed pricing sheet (pricing each property individually) - Additional Services Availability Sheet (optional) - Iran Economic Sanctions Affidavit - Familial Affidavit - Three references for similar contracted services (school district references preferred) All bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope or package. Telephonic, email, online, or fax bids are not accepted. All forms and affidavits must be included, or the bid will not be accepted. The selected contractor must enter into a contract with the district and meet all insurance requirements as specified. The District may inquire about additional groundskeeping services periodically from the awarded contractor (such as herbicide and fertilizer applications, pruning, tree trimming, weeding, leveling, aeration, overseeding, and mulching).
