Renovation of a fire / police facility in Wyoming, Michigan. Completed plans call for the renovation of a fire / police facility.
The City Clerk will receive bids for Wyoming Police Heating Boiler Replacements. Specifications and the bid proposal form are available online or at the City of Wyoming's Purchasing Office. All proposals should be in sealed envelopes and plainly marked 'BID FOR Wyoming Police Heating Boiler Replacements.' The City Council reserves the right to accept or reject all or any bids, to waive formalities, and to award the bid in any manner deemed to be in the best interest of the City. Questions regarding specifications should be directed to Troy Rinks. Questions about or requests for interpretation of this request for bids/proposals, any of the plans and specifications, or any bid/proposal requirements may be directed via e-mail to Troy.rinks@wyomingmi.gov. No questions or interpretations will be issued later than 13th March 2026. Scope of Work A. The awarded bidder must prepare a detailed schedule that indicates the sequence of work. The schedule will be submitted to Troy Rinks or his designee for approval before work begins. B. The awarded bidder must dispose of existing boilers at no additional cost, clean the site, remove all tools, construction equipment and machinery, and surplus materials within 48 hours of project completion. All property not designated for alteration must be restored to its original condition. C. The bidding contractor shall provide all labor, materials, permits, and equipment necessary to complete the following tasks: o Remove existing heating boilers, pumps, expansion tanks, venting, and piping; and properly dispose of all removed items off site. o Install two (2) new Lochinvar KBX1000N boilers on the existing concrete pads (no substitutions). o Vent new boilers through the south wall of the building. o Install new expansion tank, fill system, dirt magnetic filter, flanges, valves, and Y strainers as applicable. o Modify system piping from the existing configuration to integrate with new boilers and pumps. o Install four (4) new Wilo brand pumps for boiler circulation and system operations. Pumps shall operate on 208-240V; bidder to verify room for electrical breaker installation. o Treat the entire boiler system with Adey cleaner and protector products to ensure warranty compliance. o Start new system and perform required testing including CSD-1 certification and associated paperwork. o Provide owner training for the new boiler system operation. o Perform all necessary inspections and obtain permits required for installation. o Field controls for this project to be completed by Grand Valley Automation, Inc. or Pulse Building Automation. o Electrical high and low voltage D. All work must be performed in accordance with trade standards and the awarded bidder shall carry out its operations in strict accordance with all MIOSHA and manufacturer's safety instructions. E. The awarded bidder is the primary contractor and is responsible for all work performed by any subcontractors. A list of subcontractors (if any) must be included with their bid submittal.
