Qualified General Contractor bidders may submit bids for a single General Contract for all trades and scope of work, as included in the Project Bid Documents, for the addition of a Gymnasium, Weight Room, Locker Rooms, Toilet Rooms, Board Room, Offices and all associated site work, mechanical, electrical, plumbing and fire protection work at multiple locations. Work at Wilbur Wright Middle School includes new parking lots and playground, replacement emergency generator and water cooling towers, and all associated site work, mechanical, and electrical work. Work at the Administration Center includes building demolition and all associated site work. Refer to the Drawings and Project Manual for the full extent of the Work. Bids must be received as sealed lump sum bids by the specified date and time at the designated location. Bidders shall ensure delivery and confirm receipt by the Owner. Sealed packages will be opened and read aloud. Late bids will not be considered. Owner reserves the right to reject any and all bids and waive informalities and irregularities. Bid security in the amount of 10% of the total bid amount is required, which may be in the form of cashier's check, certified check, money order, or bid bond. Successful bidder will provide a Performance Bond and Payment Bond in the amount equal to 100% of the total Contract Sum, from a surety company approved in Indiana, remaining in effect for one year after final acceptance. All costs for these bonds must be included in the Base Bid. Bidders are responsible for obtaining a complete set of Construction Documents from the designated online plan room or reprographics company at their own cost, and must not use these documents for any other purpose than preparing a bid for this project.
