Demolition, site work, paving and new construction of a bridge / tunnel in Jackson Township, Indiana. Conceptual plans call for the demolition of a bridge / tunnel; for the construction of a bridge / tunnel; for site work for a bridge / tunnel; and for paving for a bridge / tunnel.
Superstructure replacement of existing box beams that will be removed and replaced with a new concrete deck and box beams. Existing structure is a two-lane, three-span (152.9' total). Scour protection to be installed at each abutment and areas that have washed-out will be underpinned. Approximately 300 feet of approach work on each side of the bridge will be new embankment and pavement to tie-in the new grade to the existing road features.
