Signage and Striping Improvements to Various Roads (62.195 Miles) in Ware County, Georgia, funded through the FY 2025 Safety Action Plan. The work includes furnishing all materials, labor, tools, equipment, and incidentals necessary for the installation of these improvements. All work must be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days of the notice to proceed. Construction is not permitted on Memorial Day, Labor Day, the week of July 4th, Thanksgiving (starting at 12:00pm Wednesday prior until the following Monday), and Christmas and New Year (starting on Christmas Eve until January 2; if January 2 falls during a weekend, work resumes the following Monday). All materials, workmanship, testing, etc. must meet the Georgia Department of Transportation Standard Specifications, 2021 Edition, any applicable Supplemental Specifications, 2024 Edition, or Special Provisions contained within the contract. The Owner reserves the right to reject all bids, waive informalities, and accept any Bid which in its opinion may be in the best interest. The Owner may add or delete from the Contract once it has been awarded. No bids shall be withdrawn for a period of 60 days after the opening of the bids. All proposals must include a Bid Bond in the amount of at least five percent (5%) of the lump sum bid. The successful bidder must provide Performance and Payment Bonds each equal to 100 percent of the contract amount. All Bidders must obtain a bid package from the Engineer to be considered certified; bids from non-certified Bidders will not be considered. The Contractor must be a current "Prequalified Contractor" with the Georgia Department of Transportation, Office of Contract Administration or be approved in writing by the Ware County Board of Commissioners before the bid opening. A copy of the Contractor’s "Notice of Contractor Qualification" from the Georgia Department of Transportation or an approval letter from the Coffee County Board of Commissioners must be submitted with the bid.
