Site work and paving for a road / highway in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway.
This is a Roadway Intersection Improvement project at multiple locations consisting of clearing and grubbing, grading, minor roadway widening, sidewalk, curb and gutter, asphalt paving and striping. The project includes the following approximate quantities: Earthwork less than 10,000 cubic yards, 3,235 linear feet of curb and gutter, 3,397 square yards of concrete flat work, 4,890 tons of asphalt, 4 lump sum traffic signal upgrades, 661 linear feet of concrete barrier type S-2, and 1,076 linear feet of storm drain pipe. Bids should be typed or submitted in ink and returned in a sealed container marked on the outside with the appropriate bid number and company name. Bids will be publicly opened and read virtually. All vendors must submit with the bid a bid bond, certified check, or cashier's check in the amount of five percent (5%) of the total bid. Successful vendors are required to meet insurance requirements and submit a one hundred percent (100%) performance bond and a one hundred percent (100%) payment bond, all with an A.M. Best rating of A-10 or higher. All bids should be submitted in duplicate. Award will be made to the lowest responsive and responsible bid. Gwinnett County reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive technicalities, and negotiate terms, conditions, and pricing with the lowest responsive, responsible vendor(s) at its discretion.
