**As of March 25, 2026, this project has not yet been awarded. A timeline for the award has not yet been established.** The Town of North Wilkesboro is seeking qualified contractors to perform grading, landscaping, and paving work for the 13th Street Slope Repair project. The work includes repairing a slope that was damaged by Hurricane Helene. The project involves construction of a stone retaining wall 60 feet long by 4-5 feet tall made from Class II Stone at the bottom of the slope, repairing a 120 feet long by 52 feet high slope with Class B Rip Rap Stone, installing Geotextile soil stabilization fabric with 120# tensile strength underneath, and resurfacing approximately 105 linear feet by 16 feet wide of 13th Street with 2-inch surface course asphalt. Visitation of the site prior to submitting a proposal is highly recommended. The successful bidder must be a contractor licensed to do business in the State of North Carolina and will be required to provide a certificate of insurance in compliance with Town policy. The Town reserves the right to award to the lowest responsive bidder in its best interest.
