The scope of work involves cold planing, reclamation, asphalt resurfacing, and utility adjustments. Bidders must submit all work and/or goods as set forth in the specifications. Instructions to bidders include the following: - Submission of an Economic Sustainability Plan (ESP) is required. - Apprentice utilization is optional, and the contractor should attach the Apprenticeship Incentive Form (AIF) if utilizing this provision. - A bid bond is required, and the surety company must be licensed by the State of Nebraska and listed on the current edition of Circular 570 of the United States Department of the Treasury. Acceptable substitutes for a bid bond include a certified check, an official bank check, a cashiers check drawn on a national bank or a bank chartered under state laws, payable to City of Omaha, lawful money of the United States, or a negotiable United States Government Bond. Letters of credit are not acceptable substitutes and would cause rejection of the bid. - The bid bond amount can be found in the Attributes section. - A copy of the bid bond or acceptable substitute must be uploaded in the Response Attachments section. The original document must be received by the City Clerk within seven calendar days of the closing date and time indicated. - Bid questions must be submitted in the Questions tab of the bid event and will be answered within one day of the questions cutoff date/time.
