Anybody who wishes to submit a bid MUST obtain the documents from Gianforcaro Architects, Engineers & Planners Sealed Bids will be received for the Ceiling and Lighting Replacement at Madison High School, Madison Junior School, and Central Avenue School in Madison, New Jersey, together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications prepared by Gianforcaro Architects & Engineers. Bids are for a single overall contract and all incidental work. Bidders and all general construction contractors and subcontractors must be prequalified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, and possess a valid and current Notice of Classification. The Bidder, or its Subcontractor, must be classified in either C008: General Contractor or C009: General Contractor/Alterations and Additions. Bids must be submitted on the Proposal Forms as designated, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the Bidder and the Proposal Identification Number. Each Bid must be accompanied by a Certified Check, Cashier's Check, or Bid Bond drawn to the Order of the Board of Education for not less than ten percent (10%) of the amount of the Bid, but not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000.00). A Certificate of Consent of Surety must be included from a Surety Company stating that it will provide Performance/Payment Bond in the full amount of the Contract. All Bidders and their Subcontractors are required to be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and possess a current Certification indicating compliance with the Public Works Contractor Registration Act. Bidders and named subcontractors must also be registered with the State of New Jersey, Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue, and include a Proof of Registration Certificate with the bid. Bidding must comply with applicable Federal, State, and Municipal Laws, Rules, and Regulations, including Affirmative Action requirements. No Bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the bid opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any and all bids, or waive informality, and will award contracts to the lowest responsible Bidder.
