Anybody who wishes to submit a bid MUST obtain the documents from Gianforcaro Architects, Engineers & Planners Sealed bids are requested for the roof replacement at Madison High School, 170 Ridgedale Avenue, Madison, New Jersey, including all work incidental to this project as specified in the project drawings and specifications. Bids must be submitted in a sealed envelope with the bidder's name, address, and proposal identification number, and accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond payable to the Board of Education for at least ten percent (10%) of the bid amount, not to exceed $20,000. A certificate of consent of surety from an approved surety company, confirming that performance and payment bonds will be provided if successful, must be included. If surety for subcontractors is not provided by the bidder, each subcontractor must provide their own at the time of bid submission. No bid may be withdrawn for sixty (60) days after the opening. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informality if deemed in its interest. Contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, in accordance with all applicable laws and regulations. All applicable federal, state, and municipal laws and regulations, including affirmative action and public works contractor registration, apply. Bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and possess current certification. Proof of registration with the State of New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue, for both bidders and named subcontractors, is required at bid submission. Bidders and all relevant contractors/subcontractors must be prequalified and hold valid classification in specific roofing disciplines as required by New Jersey law before bid submission. Bids must be submitted on official proposal forms as designated in the instructions. The Board reserves the right to reject non-responsive or non-responsible bids and to not award a contract for any portion of the work if the required state approvals are not obtained.
