Anybody who wishes to submit a bid MUST obtain the documents from Gianforcaro Architects, Engineers & Planners Sealed bids will be received for interior renovations at the Torey J. Sabatini School, 359 Woodland Road, Madison, New Jersey 07940, together with all work incidental thereto, in accordance with the requirements of the drawings and specifications. Bids will be received for a single overall contract and all work incidental thereto. Bids must be submitted on the proposal forms, enclosed in a sealed envelope bearing the name and address of the bidder and the proposal identification number on the outside. They must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier's check, or bid bond drawn to the order of the Board of Education, for not less than ten percent of the amount of the bid, but not in excess of twenty thousand dollars. Each bidder shall submit with its bid a Certificate of Consent of Surety from a surety company stating it will provide a performance/payment bond for the full amount of the contract if successful. If bidders are not providing surety for subcontractors, the subcontractor must provide their own surety and proof at the time of bid submission. Bidders must be prequalified by the New Jersey Department of Treasury, Division of Property Management and Construction, and possess a valid and current Notice of Classification prior to the time bids are received, in the discipline of C008: General Contractor or C009: General Contractor/Alterations and Additions. Bidders and their subcontractors must be registered with the New Jersey Department of Labor and possess a current certification indicating compliance. Proof of registration with the State of New Jersey, Department of Treasury, Division of Revenue, is required for bidders and named subcontractors at the time of bid submission. All applicable federal, state, and municipal laws and regulations apply. The Board of Education reserves the right to reject any or all bids or waive informality if it is in the Board's interest. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder.
