The scope of work includes biweekly lawn mowing and trimming; biweekly pruning and trimming of shrubs and trees for safety and aesthetics; biweekly leaf collection during the month of November; scheduled weed control services including pre-emergent and post-emergent applications; fence line and athletic field weed control; annual bulk mulch installation in shrub beds and tree areas district-wide; hillside brush cutback at designated school locations; and athletic infield weed control applications. All work must be constructed according to the Contract Drawings and Specifications. Instructions to bidders: Bid Documents must be obtained at the offices of Senate Civil Engineers and Surveyors. A non-refundable fee of $25.00 for the reproduction and binding of the specifications and plans will be required, payable to "LSSE" for each bid packet. Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud at the specified time and place. The School District reserves the right to reject any or all proposals and to waive any informalities in the bidding. No bid may be withdrawn for ninety (90) calendar days after the scheduled time for receipt of bids. Procurement is subject to the Pennsylvania “Steel Products Procurement Act”, the Pennsylvania Prevailing Wage Act (for contracts over $25,000), and The Public Works Employment Verification Act. Bidders must comply with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964.
