Responsibilities of the professional consultant engineering firm may include, but are not limited to: Field Investigation required for the design work Design of plans and specifications acceptable to the City of Columbia and TDOT Specify/direct removal of trees/landscaping downtown Landscaping and parking lane planting area design Roadway geometric design of parking, turn lanes, median, etc. Attend necessary meetings associated with designs and approvals Perform any required ROW/easement acquisition services Provide overall project management Preparing of construction documents Assist in the construction bidding process Establish and attend pre-construction conference Provide construction inspections, including all testing and reporting Identify and write grant applications for possible funding sources, if needed.
