Site work and new construction of a mixed-use development in Vernon Rockvl, Connecticut. Completed plans call for the construction of a power facility; and for site work for a sidewalk / parking lot.
The Town of Vernon is soliciting sealed proposals from qualified solar Engineering, Procurement, and Construction contractors for the design, engineering, procurement, installation, and commissioning of a front-of-meter solar carport system at the Town of Vernon Department of Public Works. Proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked with the contract information. Each bidder must provide a certified check or bid bond for five percent of the bid. The selected firm must meet all municipal, state, and federal AA and EEO practices and requirements. MBE's, WBE's, and SBE's are encouraged to apply. The Town reserves the right to reject any or all proposals, to award any one or group of services, to negotiate with any or all companies, and to enter into an agreement for any services mentioned. If any information is to be treated as confidential, it must be clearly marked as such. The Town of Vernon is pursuing this project to reduce municipal ener gy costs, demonstrate leadership in renewable energy implementation, and provide cover for municipal vehicles and equipment.
