The City of Columbia is seeking bids to provide mowing and additional services for abandoned and neglected properties. Property owners are required to maintain lawns and grounds to acceptable levels according to City Ordinance. If owners are unwilling or unable to be located, the City will authorize and pay for maintenance, with costs becoming a lien on the property. Lawn maintenance may include bush-hogging, finish mowing, trimming, or any combination as directed by the City of Columbia Development Services Department. The City may also direct that properties be secured, litter collected, or trash, brush, and debris removed. The frequency and amount of work required is unpredictable, and the City does not guarantee the amount of work under any resulting agreement. Bids may be submitted electronically or physically.
