Renovation of an educational facility in Bloomington, Indiana. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
A Unified Bid is requested for all work in the project, including General, Mechanical, and Electrical Construction work, for the BL000B Multi-Building, BL057 Wylie, and BL065 Optometry Classroom Renovation at Indiana University Bloomington. Bidders must submit electronic bids via www.iuplanroom.com. All bid proposals must be in full accord with the Bidding Documents. Bidding documents are available from the Eastern Engineering Distribution Department. Each bid must include: - A completed Minority, Women's and Veteran's Business Enterprise Participation Plan. - A bid security for 5% of the total bid. - The contractor's written drug testing program in compliance with IC 4-13-18. The Owner reserves the right to accept or reject any bid and to waive any irregularities in bidding. The Owner may consider a bid to be incomplete if it does not include the required documentation. The Base Bid may be held for up to sixty days before awarding contracts, and all Alternate Bids may be held for up to ninety days before award and incorporation into the contract by proper Change Directive. Should a successful Bidder withdraw or fail to execute a satisfactory contract within 10 days after notice of acceptance, the Owner may declare the Bid Security forfeited as liquidated damages. Each Bidder shall examine the Bidding Documents carefully and, not later than ten (10) days prior to the date of receipt of bids, shall make written request for interpretation or correction of any ambiguity, inconsistency or error therein which it may discover. Verbal questions will not be answered. Interpretation of the Bidding Documents will be given by the Owner's Representative in the form of written Addenda no fewer than two (2) days before the bid opening date. Addenda will be distributed to each Bidder and shall become a part of the Bid Documents.
