Renovation of an educational facility in Winston Salem, North Carolina. Completed plans call for the renovation of a educational facility.
Work shall include furnishing of labor, material, and equipment for the Simon G. Atkins Academic & Technology High School ERV Replacement. Bids will be received for single-prime, mechanical contractor. All proposals shall be lump sum. All contractors must have proper license as required under the state laws governing their respective trades. The bidder shall identify on its bid proposal the minority business participation it will use on the project. A performance bond and a payment bond will be required for one hundred percent (100%) of the contract price. Payment will be made based on ninety-five percent (95%) of monthly estimates and final payment made upon completion and acceptance of work. No bid may be withdrawn after the scheduled closing time for the receipt of bids for a period of sixty (60) days. The owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive informalities. Bidders are highly encouraged to obtain a minimum of 10% MWBE participation. Clarifications, interpretations, and questions regarding this document must be addressed to Winston-Salem / Forsyth County Schools Maintenance Division, Attn.: Carlos Sanders, Capital Projects Coordinator, 3810 N Liberty St, Winston-Salem, NC 27105 no less than 5 business days prior to the Bid Due Date.
