The City of Ottawa is seeking proposals from qualified firms to conduct a comprehensive environmental assessment of a municipal facility considered for demolition. The assessment will identify hazardous materials, including but not limited to asbestos, lead-based paint, and other regulated substances. The structure considered for demolition is approximately 6,400 square feet and was previously used as a golf course clubhouse. The environmental assessment will be used to bid demolition of the property. SCOPE OF SERVICES The selected firm will conduct a comprehensive environmental assessment of the designated property. This includes inspection, sampling, laboratory analysis, and reporting of any hazardous materials present. Deliverables include: 1. Site-specific survey reports 2. Hazardous materials inventory 3. Photographic documentation 4. Recommendations for abatement or mitigation 5. Final summary report 6. Proposed contract for abatement, if abatement is necessary Technical Requirements include: 1. Survey must be performed by certified professionals in accordance with EPA, OSHA, and KDHE regulations. 2. Laboratory analysis must be conducted by accredited labs. 3. GIS mapping or site plans indicating locations of identified hazards is preferred.
