Site work and paving for a mixed-use development in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. Completed plans call for site work for a road / highway; and for paving for a road / highway.
Sealed bids will be received for Contract 01-2026 Oaklyn Paving Project. Each bid must be accompanied by a Certified or Bank Check; or Bid Bond naming as payee or obligee, as applicable, the Shikellamy School District, in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total amount of the bid as security for proper execution of the Agreement and submitting other documents as required by the bidding documents. The Successful Bidder on this work will be required to comply with all provisions of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Department of Labor and Industry, Prevailing Wage Act and the Wage Predetermined Schedule made a part of the project specifications. The Successful Bidder will be required to execute an AIA A105 & A205, Standard Form of Agreement Between Owner and Contractor, and General Conditions of the Contract for Construction-1993 Small Projects Editions; and furnish a Performance Bond and a Payment Bond, each of said bonds to be in the amount of one hundred percent (100%) of the Contract Price, a one-year Maintenance Bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the Contract Price, and shall be executed by such sureties as are named in the current list of "Companies Holding Certificates of Authority as Acceptable Sureties on Federal Bonds and as Acceptable Reinsuring Companies" as published in Circular 570 (amended) by the Audit Staff, Bureau of Government Financial Operations, U.S. Treasury Department and shall be acceptable to the Shikellamy School Board. All bonds signed by an agent must be accompanied by a certified copy of such agent's authority to act. The Contractor also will be required to furnish evidence of insurance coverage as required by the bidding documents and fill out a public works verification form. All questions regarding this solicitation shall be submitted via written request to Meck-Tech, Inc (miket@meck-tech.com). The Shikellamy School District reserves the right to reject any or all bids or parts thereof or items therein, to waive any defects or irregularities in the Bids, and to accept any Bid which, in its judgment, is for its best interest. Bids may be held by the owner for a period not to exceed 45 days from the date of opening bids for the purpose of reviewing the bids and investigating the qualifications of bidders, prior to awarding the contract.
