Sealed bids are requested for a project involving the paving of the Wisconsin Rapids Campus parking lot. The scope of work includes milling, laying an asphaltic surface, and performing all incidental items necessary to complete the work as indicated in the plans and proposal. Bids should be submitted as lump-sum bids for general construction to encompass all work under a single contract. Bidders must submit their bids in a sealed envelope clearly marked as "Mid-State Bid #851 Wisconsin Rapids Campus Parking Lot Paving" and endorsed by the bidder. The use of the bid form included in the packet is required. Bids may be submitted by email (file size not to exceed 35MB), in person, or via US mail. Each bid must be accompanied by bid security equal to five percent (5%) of the total bid amount, in the form of a bid bond issued by a surety licensed in Wisconsin and included in the current list of "Surety Companies Acceptable on Federal Bonds" as published by the U.S. Treasury Department, with an AM Best rating of A- or better. Bid securities of all bidders except the three lowest will be returned within ten days after the bid opening. Remaining securities will be returned after the agreement is executed. Failure to execute and return the agreement and bonds within ten days of receipt will result in forfeiture of the bid security as liquidated damages. The Owner reserves the right to reject any or all bids. Bids may be held by the Owner for up to 120 days for review and qualification purposes, during which they may not be withdrawn without written consent of the Owner.
