The work includes the installation, maintenance, and removal of traffic protection devices associated with the vehicular detour proposed for the project; installation, maintenance, and removal of soil erosion and sediment control devices as shown on the plans; temporary support and relocation of existing utilities; demolition and replacement of County Bridge No. D0202 with three pre-cast rigid frames on cast-in-place wingwalls and footings; construction of cast-in-place concrete pylons and steel 3-bar bridge railings; and construction of roadway improvements. Bids must be delivered in sealed envelopes, addressed and marked as specified, and bear the name and address of the bidder. The bid must be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check, or bid bond in the amount of ten percent (10%) of the total price bid, not exceeding $20,000.00, payable to the Somerset County Treasurer, along with a Certificate (Consent of Surety) with Power of Attorney for the full amount of the bid price from a Surety Company authorized to do business in the State of New Jersey, and that the Surety will furnish a Performance and Payment Bond in amounts of 100% of the successful bidder’s contract. All addenda will be issued on the County website and it is the sole responsibility of the respondent to be knowledgeable of all addenda related to the procurement.
